Watercolor on cold press paper. (print here) A Unique perspective of the violets as they dance and float against the mountain in the distance. Initially, my idea was to paint the sunlight coming into a valley with a brook at the foot (on the lower right of the painting), but watercolor likes to go where it will and I could tell it just wasn't working. I had just gotten my Watercolor Artist magazine that day and flipping through it inspired me and so I let the paint flow !

I am a 63 year old professional musician (pianist) who came into the visual arts at a later age. I very occasionally drew portraits in pencil and charcoal for many years on my own, occasionally exploring pastel painting. I began to paint consistently in May of 2013. Now I work mostly in watercolor painting and iPad Art. My main interest is beauty and following whatever process that leads me there, whether it's watercolor or digital.
