Acrylic Painting on Canvas. This scene is based upon a view from the bridge going onto Hilton Head Island,SC. I was riding off Hilton Head Island in late afternoon when the colors struck me. I began painting the scene from memory that same night.
I am a 63 year old professional musician (pianist) who came into the visual arts at a later age. I very occasionally drew portraits in pencil and charcoal for many years on my own, occasionally exploring pastel painting. I began to paint consistently in May of 2013.
